Our director, Andrew Bentley BEM, brings over 25 years’ experience leading and delivering major cultural ventures. He spent eight years as Chief Executive of Storyhouse in Chester — following nine years as lead consultant — and has run some of the UK’s most significant venues, including the redevelopment and relaunch of Liverpool Philharmonic Hall.

An experienced producer of music, theatre, and large-scale events, Andrew has delivered festivals, temporary arenas, and landmark buildings. His background spans both private and third sectors, including the creation of Liverpool’s award-winning Hope Street Hotel and a range of successful businesses in hospitality, food and drink, and marketing.

Andrew was awarded the BEM in the 2020 Queen’s Birthday Honours List for services to arts and libraries.
